Premier League Table Tightens as Liverpool March On

Liverpool continued their dominance in the Premier League by beating Newcastle 2-0, moving 13 points clear of the title chase. The Reds’ win was sealed by goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

Arsenal’s chances of catching up with Liverpool suffered another setback as they drew 0-0 at Nottingham Forest. The Gunners are now six points adrift, while Manchester City moved back into the top four with a 1-0 win over Tottenham.

Erling Haaland scored his 20th goal of the season to give Manchester City a crucial victory. Haaland’s late effort was denied due to an adjudged handball, but City boss Pep Guardiola is confident they will bounce back from their recent defeats.

Manchester United edged Ipswich 3-2 in a hard-fought win, with Harry Maguire scoring the winner after going down a man. The victory helped alleviate some of the pressure on Old Trafford and ended a three-match winless run for the team.

The Lionesses also produced an impressive performance to beat Spain 1-0 at Wembley. England’s Millie Bright hailed the team’s “proper English” approach, which included a cohesive effort in defense and hard work off the ball.

As the Premier League table tightens, Leicester will look to ease pressure on manager Ruud van Nistelrooy with a trip to West Ham. The Foxes are five points from safety, while Hammers boss Graham Potter hopes to build on their recent London derby victory over Arsenal.
