Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, visited wildfire survivors and emergency medical workers on Friday in Pasadena, Calif. The couple offered suggestions for people to help victims of the deadly blazes in Southern California. They met with officials at a food distribution site where World Central Kitchen charity was handing out meals.
The couple also met with José Andrés, the founder of World Central Kitchen, and spoke with families affected by the fires. Harry and Meghan served meals and visited a police and fire command post at the Rose Bowl. Their visit boosted the spirits of first responders.
Harry and Meghan are longtime supporters of World Central Kitchen, which provides hot meals to people in crisis zones. The couple, who moved to California after stepping back from royal duties in 2020, urged support for agencies assisting in the fire response.
They released a statement urging people to offer safe havens to evacuees and check on disabled or elderly neighbors. This is their second major visit to Southern California this week, following a devastating wildfire that burned since Tuesday in the mountains north of Pasadena.
