Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children have not attended King Charles’s annual birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, since 2019. The last time they participated was during Queen Elizabeth’s reign in 2022, but only on the sidelines. It is unlikely they were invited to this year’s event due to limited participation from working royals under King Charles.
Prince William recently joked about the royal family’s estrangement from Prince Harry, saying “families might not want to see you that much. It’s a mixed bag sometimes.” This comes after Prince Harry was in the UK for a security hearing in April and lost his appeal.
Following the loss, Prince Harry released a statement expressing his love for the UK, where he believes his son was born, and his commitment to public service. However, he has previously stated that he will not bring his family back to the UK without proper security measures in place.
The royal family’s dynamics remain tense, with Meghan Markle having only returned to the UK since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. As a result, it is unclear whether Prince Harry and Meghan will be attending future royal events together.
