PlayStation Plus Premium has added three classic PS2 games to its library: Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. These games join the Essential and Extra tiers’ content, offering subscribers access to a large collection of retro games across various Sony consoles.
The recent update also brought enhancements such as upscaling, rewind features, and added trophy support for some titles. PS Plus Premium’s retro game library is refreshed monthly, with two updates expected in December 2024 – one of which will feature new additions on December 17.
Sony has not announced the exact games that will be added on this date but suggests it could bring more popular titles to the service. The removal of PS Plus Premium requirements for certain Capcom PS1 classics led to significant player count spikes, indicating growing demand for retro gaming content.
Subscribers can now play these classic PS2 games on their PS4 and PS5 consoles through the PS Plus Premium subscription, bringing them closer to completing the original PS2 trilogy.
