Sony has announced that beta participants will gain access to a new feature starting tomorrow, allowing PS5 peripherals, including the DualSense wireless controller, to pair with multiple devices simultaneously. This update aims to create a more flexible and seamless gaming experience.
The new feature allows users to register up to four devices on their controller, making it easier to switch between them without needing to re-pair each time. For example, gamers can seamlessly switch from playing on their PS5 to playing PC games or enjoying Remote Play on their smartphone.
To pair the controller with multiple devices, users will need to follow these steps: press and hold the PS button and an action button (triangle, circle, cross, or square) for over 5 seconds, then select the device from a list of detected Bluetooth devices. Once paired, users can switch between devices by pressing the PS button and an action button corresponding to a slot.
Additionally, Sony has announced that it is developing a new feature called Power Saver for games, which will enable supported PS5 games to run with lower power consumption and reduce environmental impact. However, this feature is not yet available during the beta phase and will be released at a later date.
