For nearly 60 years, Publishers Clearing House (PCH) promised individuals life-changing prizes and a lifetime of money. However, the company’s bankruptcy has left many winners facing financial uncertainty. PCH was sold to mobile gaming company ARB Interactive, which claims not to honor payouts for those who won before July 15th. Winners like John Wyllie, who received $5,000 a week for life, are now struggling to make ends meet. The company’s decline from an annual revenue of $854 million in 2017 to just $182 million in 2023 has made it impossible for PCH to pay its promised prizes, leaving winners like Matthew and Tamar Veatch, who also received the same prize, to deal with sudden financial hardship.
