Allu Arjun’s film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, had a strong first weekend at the box office, collecting around ₹527 crore net in India. According to Sacnilk.com, the film collected ₹10.65 crore during its paid premieres and ₹164.25 crore on its opening day. Over three days, it brought in ₹387.95 crore, with Sunday collections seeing a rise compared to Saturday.
The film’s total collection now stands at approximately ₹527.95 crore, breaking several records, including the highest-grossing opening for any Indian film and the first to gross over ₹50 crore in two languages on the same day. It is also the fastest Indian film to cross ₹600 crore worldwide in just three days.
Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up where its prequel left off, with Arjun’s Pushpa Raj heading a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate and Rashmika’s Srivalli as his wife. Fahadh Faasil plays Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, seeking revenge against him. Despite mixed reviews from critics and audiences, the film has performed well at the box office, with ticket prices hiked in its first week contributing to the numbers.
