Socialite and former pageant queen Jackie Siegel shared the devastating news of her husband David Alan Siegel’s passing on Saturday, April 5. The couple was married for 25 years and had eight children together.
David Siegel, who owned Westgate Resorts, left behind a legacy that includes his philanthropic efforts through a namesake nonprofit in memory of their late daughter Victoria, who died at age 18 in 2015 due to a drug overdose.
Jackie’s social media tribute expressed her gratitude for the love and support she received during this difficult time. She also reflected on her husband’s love for French architecture, which inspired their lavish mansion outside of Paris.
The couple’s opulent home features a Hall of Mirrors, imported materials from France, and precious stones from seven different countries. However, Jackie acknowledged that not all decisions were made with ease, including the blue shingle roof that was not her preference.
David Siegel’s passing has brought new attention to his life, as his story is now being adapted into a Broadway musical titled “Queen of Versailles,” starring Kristin Chenoweth.
