College football star Quinn Ewers has announced his decision to leave college after two semifinal exits in the College Football Playoff. The former top high school recruit will enter the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite injuries that limited him to just under three and a half thousand passing yards, Ewers still managed to throw 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Ewers had a record-breaking performance last season, winning the Big XII Conference Championship MVP award after throwing for 452 yards against Oklahoma State in 2023. However, his lack of elite arm strength and mobility may make it unlikely he’ll be drafted in the first round. Evers is expected to likely be selected in the second or third round.
Only a handful of quarterbacks have been drafted in the first round over the years, including Kenny Pickett in 2022. As a result, Ewers is considered a possibility for the Seattle Seahawks if they attempt to draft a quarterback this year.
