The Las Vegas Raiders suffered their 15th straight loss in Monday’s 9-point defeat to the Atlanta Falcons. The game’s outcome was sealed by safety Jessie Bates intercepting quarterback Desmond Ridder at the last second.
Raiders coach Antonio Pierce expressed his frustration, stating that the team needs a break and is struggling to win despite being committed. He noted that the Raiders’ offense failed to move the ball for long stretches, turned it over three times, and was stuffed for a safety.
Pierce acknowledged that the team’s special teams were disastrous, with two blocked punts and a blocked point after try. The Raiders’ inability to score points was attributed to their opponents’ poor performance on offense.
The loss extends the Raiders’ losing streak to 10 games, tied for the second-longest in franchise history. Pierce remains optimistic, saying that his team will continue to fight despite mental miscues and questionable coaching decisions.
