Raiders Win, Drop from No. 2 Pick to No. 6 in NFL Draft Order

The Las Vegas Raiders (3-12) ended their 10-game losing streak with a 19-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-12), but the victory may be short-lived as they lost major ground in the race for the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders, who entered Sunday with the No. 2 pick, dropped to No. 6 after beating Jacksonville.

Brock Bowers’ solid performance was a highlight of the game, earning him an 11-catch, 99-yard effort that puts him on pace to set the NFL rookie record for catches and tight end receiving yards in a season. The defense also showed signs of life, recording its second multi-turnover game and holding firm to allow its lowest point total of 2024.

However, with the win over the Jaguars, the Raiders lost ground in the race for the No. 1 pick, which now goes to the New York Giants. Las Vegas is behind the Patriots (3-12), Browns (3-12), Titans (3-12), and Giants in the draft order due to a weaker strength of schedule.

The loss could prove costly for the Raiders if they plan to draft a quarterback in the first round, as teams with big question marks at quarterback are ahead of them. Despite this, coach Antonio Pierce may retain his job despite recent struggles.
