Ubisoft has unveiled its plans for the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege Y10S1 update at the Six Invitational esports tournament. This marks a significant milestone in the game’s 10-year history, with major updates and changes on the horizon.
The trailer showcased several key features of the update, including improved anti-cheat measures and protections against malicious operators. The collaboration with Battleye has led to over 19,000 cheaters being banned from the game in one month alone.
A new Operator, Rauora, is also set to join the fray, hailing from the New Zealand SAS. Her “D.O.M.” launcher allows her to deploy a lightweight cover system, disrupting defensive tactics with ease.
The most significant announcement, however, was the introduction of “Siege X”, a massive upgrade sweeping through Rainbow Six Siege. This new era will set the stage for the next decade of unique tactical gameplay, but details remain scarce until March 13’s three-hour reveal in Atlanta.
The Y10S1 update is expected to arrive on all platforms in March 2025, with fans able to track its progress on the Ubisoft blog. As the game continues to evolve, one question remains: are you excited about what’s to come? Share your thoughts on the upcoming update in our Insider Gaming forum.
