The No. 5 University of Hawai’i men’s volleyball team hits the road for a pair of Big West matches against No. 9 Cal State Northridge (CSUN) this weekend. The Rainbow Warriors, who are atop the conference standings with a 4-0 record, look to extend their winning streak over CSUN, which has struggled in league play.
The series is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Premier America Credit Union Arena in Northridge, California, with the first match set to begin at 6:00 p.m. PT. The match can be streamed live on ESPN+ (Friday only) and radio coverage will be provided by ESPN Honolulu.
Hawai’i has dominated the all-time series against CSUN, leading 62-22 overall and 25-11 in Northridge. The Rainbow Warriors have won four consecutive matches against the Matadors in Northridge since 2018.
Head coach Charlie Wade leads UH into the matchup with a strong record against CSUN, boasting a 20-8 mark. The team is coming off a recent two-match series sweep of UC San Diego and has won five of its last six matchups against teams ranked in the AVCA Top 10.
This weekend’s matches will be followed by another crucial home match against top-ranked Long Beach State on April 11-12, and then conclude with a regular season matchup at UC Santa Barbara on April 18-19.
