Rams Trade Guard Jonah Jackson to Bears

The Los Angeles Rams are finalizing a deal to trade guard Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a sixth-round pick. This move reunites Jackson with his former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, now the head coach of the Bears. Jackson signed with the Rams last year after being released by the Detroit Lions but struggled with injuries and only played in four games.

The Bears are looking to bolster their offense line, and Johnson is expected to play to Jackson’s strengths when he’s healthy. However, injury history is a concern – Jackson missed five games in 2023 and four in 2022. If the trade goes through, the Bears will take on Jackson’s contract, including $17.5 million for the 2025 season. The deal can be made official after the new league year begins next Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
