Dallas rapper Yella Beezy was arrested on Tuesday and is accused of hiring a hitman to kill fellow rapper Melvin Nobles, also known as MO3, in 2020. As of Friday, Beezy was being held on $2 million bail in the Dallas County jail.
Beezy, whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway, has been involved in several high-profile feuds with other rappers, including a longstanding rivalry within the Dallas rap scene. He has also had previous run-ins with the law, including being shot in 2018 and facing charges of unlawful firearm possession in 2021.
MO3, who was just 28 years old when he died, was a rising star in the Dallas rap scene. The two rappers exchanged diss tracks and insults on social media, but both denied having any issues with each other. Conway even claimed that the point of not acknowledging MO3’s death was “What was the point?”
The shooting death of MO3 occurred on November 11, 2020, when he and another car were traveling north on Interstate 35E near the Dallas Zoo. The driver of the other car opened fire, striking MO3 and another driver. Kewon Dontrell White, who was indicted on a murder charge in MO3’s death in 2021, is still awaiting trial.
This article will provide more information about Conway and his connection to the killing of MO3 as more details become available.
