Rare Planetary Parade Visible in Night Sky Until End of Feb.

A rare celestial phenomenon known as a planetary parade is lighting up the night sky, and stargazers have just one month left to view it. Six planets in our solar system are aligning in this event, with four being visible to the naked eye: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus.

Somerset astrophotographer Josh Dury captured the spectacle from a spot on the Mendip Hills, where he said it’s an “exciting time to look up at the night sky.” He shared photographs detailing where the planets appear in the sky.

For those who can see brighter planets like Venus and Jupiter, no special equipment is needed. However, for dimmer planets Uranus and Neptune, a pair of binoculars or small telescope is recommended.

The planetary parade should be visible until late February, according to The Planetary Society.
