Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta expressed “serious concern” over allegations of sexual misconduct against kicker Justin Tucker, stating that the team will wait for the NFL’s investigation to determine his future in Baltimore. The 16 massage therapists who have made accusations against Tucker all reported incidents between 2012 and 2016, during Tucker’s first five seasons in the NFL.
Coach John Harbaugh described the allegations as “not what you want to wake up and read,” but acknowledged that the team must reconcile the claims. Harbaugh emphasized that no one knows exactly what happened, and they will wait for the review process to conclude before making a decision.
DeCosta echoed the team’s zero-tolerance stance on domestic violence, stating there is no set policy and each case is evaluated individually. He has spoken with Tucker but declined to comment further. Harbaugh said he spoke with Tucker about a week after allegations surfaced, offering support during an uncertain time.
Tucker, a seven-time Pro Bowler, has denied the allegations, calling them “unequivocally false.” The NFL’s personal conduct policy may be relevant in this case. As the investigation continues, the Ravens will look at all positions, including kickers, in the upcoming draft.
The NFL is conducting an investigation into Tucker’s behavior, speaking with some of the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct. A league spokesperson stated that they do not provide details or updates during ongoing investigations.
