The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed left tackle Ronnie Stanley to a three-year, $60 million contract with $44 million guaranteed. The deal is a significant coup for the team, taking the top offensive lineman in free agency off the board. Stanley was set to be one of the top free agents on the market as a 30-year-old two-time Pro Bowler at a premium position.
The Ravens drafted Stanley sixth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft and developed him into one of the game’s top pass protectors. However, he struggled with injuries, including a season-ending ankle injury in 2020 that led to a massive contract extension. Despite his health issues, Stanley returned to form last season, leading an offense that set multiple NFL records.
Stanley’s departure from the free agent market leaves few options for other teams. Cam Robinson of the Minnesota Vikings is likely to become the top name available, with other options including Dan Moore of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jaylon Moore of the San Francisco 49ers.
