Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which has spread to her brain and lungs, her doctors revealed. Mellencamp, 43, is fighting for her life after being told she has four more tumors in her brain, one month after the initial diagnosis.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said she’s remaining positive despite the cancer spreading to new areas of her body. She credits her co-star Kyle Richards with helping her get into a hospital quickly where an incredible surgeon was able to remove the brain tumors.
Mellencamp began radiation and immunotherapy treatment immediately after surgery, which took a toll on her body but brought hope as it showed she was responding well to the cancer treatment. Despite feeling weak and tired, Mellencamp remains optimistic about her future, saying she’s fighting for her life as much as her family and loved ones.
The cancer diagnosis has also been an opportunity for Mellencamp to draw inspiration from her father, musician John Mellencamp, who has faced health challenges in the past. He shares words of wisdom with his daughter, telling her to give herself grace when she’s not emotionally in control due to medication or other factors.
