Rebel Groups Near Homs as US Urges Citizens to Leave Syria Immediately

The US Embassy in Syria has issued an urgent warning to American citizens, advising them to leave the country “now while commercial options remain available in Damascus.” This follows a rapid gain by the Islamist rebel group against Assad’s forces.

The UN humanitarian agency, OCHA, warns that civilians are facing grave threats to their safety as hostilities escalate in Syria. Over 370,000 people have been displaced since the escalation began.

Meanwhile, tensions continue between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, where a year-long conflict has claimed over 1,200 lives. The situation remains tense, with no clear resolution in sight.
