Remedy has announced its upcoming co-op first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, set in the Control universe, which is expected to release later this summer. The game will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
FBC: Firebreak features session-based multiplayer PvE gameplay with highly replayable missions known as Jobs. These jobs require teamwork and adaptability, where players must push through three escalating zones to defeat a gargantuan manifestation of anomalies. Before each job, players will choose their Crisis Kit, which shapes their playstyle with distinct weapons, tools, and reality-bending augments.
The game’s developer has confirmed that all future playable content, including new jobs, will be free for players. Additionally, players can purchase cosmetics without affecting gameplay, but there won’t be limited-time rotations or daily log-ins.
Remedy is also expanding FBC: Firebreak with post-launch content and more details about the game will be shared in the future.
