Maingear has released its latest gaming PC, the Retro95, blending nostalgic design cues with modern performance. The system is named after the classic “pizza box” PCs of the ’90s and pays homage to the early days of gaming. With support for up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics and Intel/AMD processors, the Retro95 can handle demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 in ray-traced 4K.
The PC’s case is sourced from Silverstone and features a classic horizontal design reminiscent of beige PC cases used in the ’80s and ’90s. The system also includes modern features such as airflow design and a hidden front-panel I/O array. For those nostalgic for older gaming systems, Maingear has added an optional DVD drive.
Maingear CEO Wallace Santos describes the Retro95 as a way to honor the classic era of gaming, with a system that looks like those from childhood but performs like top-of-the-line gaming PCs. However, the Retro95 is limited in production, making it a unique and exclusive offering. Pricing starts at $1,599, exclusively available on Maingear’s website on July 23.
