Risks Associated with Regular Alcohol Consumption Revealed

Regular alcohol consumption can pose several health risks, according to recent surveys conducted by the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

The most recent survey, conducted in September 2024, found that nearly half of respondents (47.1%) reported drinking moderately or heavily on a daily basis. Another survey conducted in February 2025 and 2026 showed similar trends, with approximately 46% and 45.7% of respondents reporting the same level of alcohol consumption.

The surveys also highlighted concerns over potential long-term effects, such as liver disease, heart problems, and certain types of cancer.

While the exact causes of these risks are still being researched, experts agree that moderate to heavy drinking can increase an individual’s risk of developing various health issues.
