Rivian Opens Sales of Electric Delivery Vans to All US Fleets

Electric vehicle maker Rivian is expanding its commercial van sales to fleets of all sizes in the US, more than a year after ending an exclusive deal with Amazon. The move comes as demand for its vans grows beyond its initial partnership and follows several successful pilot programs with large fleets.

Rivian has seen strong interest in its vans, which will be crucial to the company’s success as broader EV demand eases amid high borrowing costs. The vans are part of a wider strategy to roll out smaller, less expensive SUVs in 2026.

The company previously ended its exclusive deal for van sales with Amazon and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering 100,000 vans by 2030. AT&T was the first non-Amazon customer to purchase vans from Rivian in a pilot program.

Rivian has been working to address production issues, including a component shortage that hampered output, and is now on track to report better-than-expected fourth-quarter results. The company plans to release its Q4 earnings on February 20.
