Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s upcoming airline, has revealed the interior design of its Boeing 787-9 fleet. The airline will feature Panasonic’s Astrova in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution, which includes 4K OLED displays on all seats.
The display sizes vary by class: Economy seats will have 13.3″ screens, premium economy seats will have 15.6″, and business and business elite cabins will feature 32″ screens.
Riyadh Air plans to launch its first flights by the end of 2025 with a fleet of 60 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 72 Boeing 787 planes. While details on the interior design of its Airbus planes are not yet available, it is likely that Panasonic’s OLED displays will be used across all fleets.
The airline aims to offer a premium in-flight experience, and the use of advanced technology like 4K OLED displays is part of this strategy.
