Roborock has unveiled its latest robot vacuum cleaner, the Saros Z70, at CES 2025. The device features a unique mechanical robotic arm called OmniGrip, which can deploy itself to pick up and remove obstacles that previously caused cleaning pauses. The Saros Z70 also boasts Roborock’s new StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 for precise navigation and mapping.
OmniGrip, a five-axis robotic arm housed within the vacuum’s compact body, is equipped with precision sensors, a camera, and an LED light. It remains folded inside the vacuum until it detects an obstruction, at which point it unfolds, extends, and twists to move objects up to 300 grams in weight.
The Saros Z70 can perform regular cleaning duties while marking and detecting objects it can lift, then returns later to clean missed areas. The OmniGrip feature is disabled by default but can be activated via the Roborock app. Users can customize the arm’s interactions by specifying which objects it should handle and where they should be placed.
The device also features a new navigation system, StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, utilizing AI-powered obstacle detection. The Saros Z70 boasts an impressive 22,000 Pa of suction power, along with Roborock’s dual anti-tangle system and liftable FlexiArm Riser side brush. The product is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2025.
Roborock has also launched two additional robot vacuum cleaners, the Saros 10 and Saros 10R. The Saros 10 features industry-leading suction power and will be available starting this month, while the Saros 10R boasts an ultra-thin design for low-clearance furniture and is set to launch later in 2025.
