Epic Games has released Rocket League Season 18, bringing new features to the popular physics-based sports game. The update introduces a fresh arena, Futura Garden, as well as revamped Mutators and custom match options.
Players can now experience two new car bodies: the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and the Azura. Both cars are cross-play compatible with Fortnite and utilize the Dominus and Breakout hitboxes, respectively. A new Arena, Futura Garden, is also added to the mix, featuring a vibrant and futuristic aesthetic.
The Mutators feature has been overhauled to provide more experimentation options for players. Ten new Mutator options have been introduced, including options that increase jumps, alter ball gravity, and modify possession scores. Existing mutators are also being expanded upon with new Ball Type options, Max Score options, Demolish options, and Rumble options.
In addition to the new features, Epic Games is buffing its Voice Reporting system to inflict harsher penalties on unsportsmanlike opponents. Players will now hear a distinct sound when they almost score, distinguishing it from a near miss.
The update also includes fresh Tournament Rewards, including disco-themed items such as Boosts, Floor Trails, and Explosions. The Premium Rocket Pass offers new rewards, including the two new car bodies, while players can still obtain items from the Premium Rocket Pass as usual.
Rocket League Season 18 is live as of March 14 at 9:00 AM PT and will continue until June 18, 2025.
