Rockstar Games has acquired the Sydney-based studio Video Games Deluxe, confirming its expansion into the virtual reality gaming space. As part of the acquisition, the team will be renamed to Rockstar Australia and have worked on notable titles including a re-release of L.A. Noire and updates to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Video Games Deluxe was also responsible for the development of the highly anticipated but currently put-on-hold GTA: San Andreas VR port for Quest, although its future in this project remains uncertain.
