Rockstar Games has breathed new life into its live-service title, Red Dead Online, with the release of Strange Tales Of The West Vol. 1, a set of Telegram Missions that introduce zombies, robots, and other unique features to the game.
The latest update adds four new missions, each featuring a different mysterious phenomenon: a zombie outbreak in Armadillo, artificial life created by a scientist near Braithwaite Manor, a terrifying creature in Lagras’ swamps, and a group of murderers in Tall Trees. Players must investigate these phenomena, complete tasks, and defeat enemies to earn rewards.
To access the new content, players need to retrieve Theodore Levin’s letter from their Camp Lockbox or in-game post office and follow the instructions provided. Completing these missions will also reward players with triple the standard amount of Gold, RDO$, and XP until August 4.
The release of Strange Tales Of The West Vol. 1 suggests that Rockstar is committed to updating Red Dead Online, but for now, this new content offers a fresh start or a nostalgic experience for fans of the game’s Undead Nightmare DLC.
