Rockstar Games has surprised fans by announcing a series of brand-new missions for Red Dead Online, set to arrive in the coming days. The new content will feature character Theodore Levin, who will task players with investigating “bizarre and unexplained” mysteries.
The mission series, titled Strange Tales of the West, will include Telegram missions where players must track down undead plagues, rogue automations, and swamp beasts. To participate, players can collect a letter from Post Offices or their Camp’s Lockbox, or launch Telegram Missions from the Player Menu.
While Rockstar hasn’t explicitly confirmed an Undead Nightmare sequel, the new content has led many to speculate about its connection to the upcoming Halloween season. Will this be a lead-up to a new DLC, or simply a one-time event? Only time will tell, but fans are advised to log back in and prepare for a potentially spooky celebration.
The lack of regular updates since Red Dead Redemption 2’s release in 2018 has been a long-standing issue for players. However, Rockstar’s latest move may be a step in the right direction, providing fresh content and keeping the game alive. As fans eagerly await the arrival of these new missions, one thing is certain: Halloween might just bring some terrifying surprises to Red Dead Online.
