Rockstar Games has announced that the next-generation update for Grand Theft Auto 5’s PC version will be released on March 4th. This update will bring new Ray Tracing effects, including ray-traced reflections and shadows, exclusively to PC players.
The update will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.0, enhancing the gaming experience for PC users. Additionally, the game will feature improved audio with Dolby Atmos support and better speech, cinematics, and music fidelity.
In terms of system requirements, Rockstar has revealed that PC gamers will need at least an Intel Core i7 4770 or AMD FX 9590 with 8GB of RAM to run the game without RT effects. However, for optimal performance with RT effects, users are recommended to use an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card like NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT.
With this update, PC players can expect faster loading times using DirectStorage on SSDs. The updated system requirements are available on the official Rockstar website.
