Primoz Roglic of Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe made a stunning comeback to win the Volta a Catalunya for the second time, overtaking local favorite Juan Ayuso on Sunday’s final stage. The Slovenian rider, who also claimed victory at the Vuelta a España four times, prevailed in the 88km seventh stage in Barcelona after Ayuso was punished for losing position early on. Roglic took the lead with 22km to go and pulled away from Ayuso, securing his second Volta title and overall victory. Ayuso ended up second, 28 seconds behind Roglic, while Enric Mas of Movistar finished third.
