BLACKPINK’s Rosé has released her highly-anticipated solo debut album, ‘rosie’, alongside a music video for its lead single, ‘toxic till the end’. The Australian-Korean singer dropped the album on December 6 and followed it up with the visual for the song just days later.
The music video takes inspiration from Gilmore Girls, portraying a toxic love story that ultimately ends in bitterness. Rosé revealed that she drew inspiration from a past relationship for the song.
In an interview prior to the album’s release, Rosé shared her experience of being in a toxic relationship. She expressed gratitude for having overcome it and moving forward with her life.
The 12-track album features collaborations with co-writers and producers, including Bruno Mars. The previous single ‘APT.’ featuring Mars also made it to Spotify’s Top 10 list of K-pop songs and artists for 2024.
This marks Rosé’s first solo work since 2021’s debut single album ‘R’.
