A 15-month-old girl died after falling from her family’s balcony in Roseville on July 6. Aisha Ali, 30, and Hanad Hassan Jama, 35, have been charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter. The children were left unattended when Hiba fell from the “Juliet” balcony, a style that only allows space for standing. Authorities received a 911 call after seeing the girl on the ground outside her building. As medics tried to revive her, a 2½-year-old child crawled out of the safety bars and watched the scene unfold. The parents are scheduled to appear in court on November 5.
