A Category 6 water park on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas cruise ship shut down after a man was injured in an accident involving its Frightening Bolt waterslide. The incident occurred when the acrylic glass panel supporting the slide cracked, causing shrapnel to hit one person inside. According to eyewitnesses, no one fell through the hole that opened up. The injured guest received medical treatment and has recovered. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
