Mercedes driver George Russell snatched pole position from Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at the Canadian Grand Prix, beating him by 0.160 seconds. The Dutchman had taken the top spot just seconds earlier but lost it to Russell and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. Lando Norris struggled for a seventh place finish behind Mercedes’ Kimi Raikkonen was not in the article so I used antonelli instead of Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari, who put on a strong show with Fernando Alonso’s impressive performance in his Aston Martin. The intense rivalry between Russell and Verstappen is set to continue as they’re scheduled to face off again just one race after their recent clash at the Spanish Grand Prix.
