Russell Wilson’s future in the NFL remains uncertain after reports suggest only one of him or Justin Fields could land a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers owner Art Rooney II confirmed that either Wilson or Fields would likely rejoin the team, but not both, as they both enter this offseason as free agents.
The Broncos, however, are pleased with their decision to cut Wilson last year after his time in Denver was plagued by struggles and conflicts. The team took a $53 million dead salary cap hit while still having over $32 million owed in 2025.
Meanwhile, Wilson is reportedly considering a potential reunion with the Las Vegas Raiders, as his former coach Pete Carroll has hinted at reuniting with him there.
For Denver, the focus remains on their current success with Bo Nix and moving past Wilson’s challenges in Colorado. As the Broncos aim to build toward future seasons, one thing they can’t overlook is the potential impact of Russell Wilson’s next move in an uncertain landscape.
