Russia and Ukraine Exchange Aerial Attacks, Causing Death Toll

Russia and Ukraine exchanged aerial attacks overnight, resulting in two deaths in each country, officials reported. The attacks targeted various regions, including Kharkiv, where a city’s second-largest building was damaged, and the Dnipro region, where at least two people were killed and five injured.

In Kharkiv, four guided bombs, two ballistic missiles, and 15 drones hit the city over a three-hour period. The attack also damaged high-rise residential buildings, local businesses, roads, and communication networks.

In Ukraine’s southern Sumy region, three people were injured in an attack that targeted the region with rockets and drones. Meanwhile, Russia’s air defenses shot down or intercepted 54 Ukrainian drones, including 24 over the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine.

Russia itself also experienced drone attacks, which targeted its Rostov and Stavropol regions. The attacks resulted in two deaths in the Rostov region and limited cellphone internet access in the Stavropol region due to concerns of online censorship.
