Russia Launched Missile Attack on Dnipro, Ukraine City

A deadly missile attack struck the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on June 24, killing at least 17 people and injuring over 279 others, including 27 children. The Russian military targeted civilian infrastructure and a passenger train, with damages reported in nearby Samarske.

According to local officials, the morning strike caused a large fire and damaged several buildings, including a dormitory, gymnasium, and administrative building. In Samarske, two people were killed and 14 injured, with eight hospitalized in critical condition.

President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the death toll may rise as more rubble is cleared. Ukraine’s national railway company reported that a train traveling from Odesa to Zaporizhzhia was damaged in the attack, but no passengers or workers were killed.

The attack occurred during NATO leaders’ high-level summit in The Hague, where Secretary General Mark Rutte warned of Russia as the alliance’s most immediate and long-term threat.
