Russia launched a drone and missile attack on Ukraine’s city of Dnipro on Saturday, killing three people and injuring six others. According to Ukrainian officials, 235 drones and 27 missiles were fired, damaging residential and commercial buildings and causing fires.
The attack was described as “terrible” by Serhiy Lysak, the regional governor of Dnipropetrovsk. Pictures showed firefighters battling fires and damaged buildings, including a residential building with smashed windows.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy vowed to retaliate against Russia’s military and logistics operations. The exchange of attacks between Ukraine and Russia has increased in recent months, with swarms of drones and fierce fighting along the frontline reported.
