Russia has launched a ballistic missile attack on Ukraine’s key industrial city of Dnipro, killing 17 people and injuring over 270, according to local authorities. The attack is described as “unprecedented” by Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov.
The incident marks the latest escalation in Russia’s conflict with Ukraine, which has been ongoing for four years. Moscow has increased its attacks on Ukraine since a summer offensive launched in May. The country also sees an increase in drone production, with 2,736 Shahed kamikaze drones being launched by Russia in June alone.
The Kremlin continues to launch dozens of missiles at Ukraine, further straining the already dire situation.
