Ukraine has claimed responsibility for striking an important hub for Russia’s network of crude-exporting pipelines. The attack targeted an oil-pumping station in Unecha, causing damage and a large-scale fire in Bryansk region. According to the General Staff in Kyiv, explosions were heard in the storage area and where the main and support pumps are located. The strike appears to have been aimed at disrupting Russia’s crude exports to Europe, although current flows from the system remain uninterrupted.
