Ryan Coogler Expresses Eternal Gratitude to ‘Sinners’ Audiences

Film director Ryan Coogler is thanking his fans for the success of his latest movie “Sinners”. In a heartfelt letter posted on Instagram, Coogler expressed his gratitude towards audiences who supported the film in theaters. He dedicated half of the letter to praising fans who saw the film in different formats and those who praised it in their inner circles.

Coogler’s vampire horror-musical, starring Michael B. Jordan and gospel singer Miles Caton, opened strongly at the Easter weekend box office, earning $45.6 million. The film received positive reviews from critics, with The Times’ Amy Nicholson calling it “an eternal movie” that will transcend time.

In his letter, Coogler emphasized the importance of cinema in bringing people together and said he believes in the theatrical experience as a necessary pillar of society. He also expressed his adoration for fellow filmmakers like Spike Lee and Steve McQueen.

Coogler plans to continue mining his personal human experience for more stories and will thank supporters by doing so. The film features an explosive mix of blues and horror, marking a breakthrough collaboration with composer Ludwig Göransson.

“Sinners” is now in theaters and stars Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, newcomer Miles Caton, and Delroy Lindo.
