Actor Ryan Hurst, known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead, has joined the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. The film, set to be released in 2026, features a diverse ensemble including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron.
The story follows King Odysseus as he navigates his 10-year journey home after the Trojan War, facing interruptions from gods and aggressive suitors. Ryan Hurst will play an unspecified role in the film, marking a departure from his typical tough-guy characters to something new.
Hurst has had a successful acting career since the 1990s, with notable roles in Remember the Titans, We Were Soldiers, and Bates Motel. He recently starred in the Disney+ series Mysterious Benedict Society and will appear in the upcoming Netflix series The Abandons.
