Saif Ali Khan Stabbed at Mumbai Home, Recovering Well in ICU

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is out of the intensive care unit (ICU) and recovering well after being stabbed six times by an intruder at his Mumbai residence. The incident occurred around 2:30 am on Thursday when the attacker entered Khan’s apartment in the posh Bandra West neighbourhood.

According to doctors, Saif Ali Khan made a remarkable recovery from his injuries, including a five-hour-long surgery where a 2.5-inch piece of the blade was removed from his spine. Dr Nitin Narayan Dange, one of the doctors treating Khan, stated that there is “no risk” of paralysis and Mr. Khan can walk well.

The intruder, described as a man between 35-40 years old, had entered Khan’s apartment through the fire escape on the rear side of the building. He was reportedly familiar with the layout of the building and took stairs to reach the floor where Khan lives. The attacker demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from Ms. Philip, a nurse who had been working at the Khan household for four years.

Ms. Philip claimed that she spotted the intruder in Jeh’s room around 2 am, just hours after her son was put to bed. She tried to block the attack but sustained injuries on her hands and fingers. The attacker was later seen near the Bandra railway station hours after the incident.

Mumbai Police have formed 20 teams to arrest the accused, who was captured on CCTV cameras in the building while fleeing. Khan’s family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their two sons, were also present during the attack but were not injured.
