New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has agreed to a fully guaranteed contract worth $10.795 million, according to his agent Erik Burkhardt. This deal comes just days before training camp begins at the team’s facility in Metairie, Louisiana.
Shough was selected with the 40th pick out of Louisville in the 2025 NFL draft and will compete for the starting quarterback role alongside Spencer Rattler. He is the last player to receive a fully guaranteed contract from a second-round pick.
The deal also includes an annual roster bonus structure, where Shough receives most of his compensation during the first week of training camp. This innovative feature sets him apart from other non-first-round picks in the league.
Shough joins the Saints as the team’s latest draft pick, following agreements with all nine of their 2025 draft selections. The team has also signed defensive end Jonathan Bullard to a one-year deal, marking his return to the Saints after spending three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
