Sam Darnold Leads Four Vikings to Pro Bowl Roster

The Minnesota Vikings have had an impressive season with several players making their first-time Pro Bowl appearances. Quarterback Sam Darnold and outside linebackers Andrew Van Ginkel and Jonathan Greenard are heading to the NFC Pro Bowl Games on February 2 in Orlando, alongside long snapper Andrew DePaola.

Darnold has thrown for a career-high 4,153 yards and 35 touchdowns this season, while Van Ginkel has recorded a team-high and career-high 11½ sacks. Jefferson is headed to his fourth Pro Bowl in five NFL seasons, and DePaola will make his third consecutive all-star game despite missing four games due to an injury.

The Vikings’ selection of players on the NFC Pro Bowl roster surpasses nine other teams, with only the Ravens having more selections than them. The team’s coach, Kevin O’Connell, has been praised for his willingness to take ownership of mistakes, a quality that has earned him respect from players such as running back Aaron Jones.

The Vikings face off against the Lions on Sunday night in what promises to be an intense matchup between two of the NFC North’s top teams. With their strong offense and defense, the Vikings are looking to secure a win and move closer to securing their place at the top of the division.
