Samsung has kicked off its 2025 event calendar with the announcement of its first Galaxy Unpacked event. This typically marks the introduction of the latest flagship Galaxy smartphones, including the base model and the expected Galaxy S25 Ultra. The unveiling is scheduled for January 22nd.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 family are now available on Samsung’s website and Shop Samsung app, with a $50 credit offered to those who sign up by January 22nd at 1 PM ET. However, the credit cannot be used towards the device itself but can be applied towards additional devices or accessories purchased alongside it.
Samsung has also hinted that there may be more than just smartphones at the event, with a potential $100 credit available for pre-orders of qualifying 2025 TVs or audio devices using the same email address. The company’s teaser has reinforced its focus on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is expected to play a central role in its latest devices.
Leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra may feature a redesigned chassis with a curvier shape, while rumors of a new “Slim” model are also circulating. Furthermore, Samsung’s AI capabilities will be built upon with the release of One UI 7, featuring enhanced features such as generative photo manipulation and live translations.
