Samsung Breaks Records with Galaxy S25 Pre-Orders in South Korea

Samsung has made a strong start to the year, breaking records for pre-orders of its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S25 series. According to data from Yonhap News Agency, 1.3 million units have been sold in South Korea since the launch began on January 22 and February 3. This surpasses last year’s sales during the same period, which stood at 1.21 million.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is leading the charge, accounting for 52% of orders, followed by the standard S25 (26%) and S25+ (22%). The trend mirrors that of last year, where users preferred the higher-end Galaxy S24 and S25 Ultra models. Samsung’s competitive pricing has also played a role, with users able to secure the ultra-powerful model for $399, complete with free Buds 3 Pro earbuds.

While these numbers only reflect sales in South Korea, it is likely that similar trends will emerge in other markets, including the US and Europe, where Samsung has been offering attractive deals. As the Galaxy S25 series takes center stage, consumers are eagerly anticipating its release and features.
