Samsung Brings Good Lock Customization Tool to Google Play Store

Samsung is expanding its Good Lock framework to the Google Play Store for all countries with the release of One UI 7. This move allows users worldwide to access and customize their phones without needing a rooted device or complex modding.

Good Lock has been available on the Galaxy Store in certain regions, but Samsung is now making it accessible through the Play Store, giving users more control over their software. The framework offers various modules that can be used to tweak elements such as the lock screen, notifications, and app launcher.

With Good Lock, users can personalize their phones using different plugins and customizable UI elements. This feature has been available on beta testing for Galaxy S24 phones with One UI 7, and Samsung plans to launch it officially with the Galaxy S25 series later this year.

In addition to expanding its reach, Samsung is also redesigning the Good Lock app to improve user interface and convenience. The new app will include a filter for specific modules and a “My Page” tab for better management. Several Good Lock apps currently available only on One UI 7 will be updated soon, further enhancing the customization options.

This move gives Samsung an edge in customization abilities over other companies, including Apple, which generally has limited user customization options. With Good Lock now accessible to all countries through the Play Store, users can expect a more convenient and personalized experience on their Galaxy phones.
